Team Rules: Min 2, Top 4 players for a team (School or Club.)
Minimum 2 players in same section from same school or club.
Top 4 scores count if more than 2 players on a team.
A single school/club with many players cannot create additional teams in the same section. 1 team per section per school/club.
There will be a parallel school and club team competition, so a player can play for both a school team AND a club team, and their score will count in both school and team competitions. The pairing restrictions on Clubs Teams will be turned off after the 2nd round. If you would like to make a change in your Club Team it must be requested before the start of the 3rd Round.
Ratings and Placement:
USCF Membership required for all the championship sections, the K-Gr4 >500 section, the K-Gr8 >800 section, and the blitz tournament.
April 2019 Supplement and TD discretion will be used to place players accurately.
Tiebreak Rules:
If 3 or more players are tied for a position the tiebreak will be determined strictly by the procedure stated in the USCF Rulebook.
If only 2 players are tied for a first place, a five minute playoff will be held between the two players.
Age Cut-Offs: To qualify for an age section the player cannot have reached the age of that section before Jan 1, 2019.
Example – to qualify for the U14 section the player cannot have reached 14 years of age by 1/1/19.
